Changes To UK Postage Service

We have taken onboard that certain customers have been unhappy about Yodel, the couriers we have been using. Items have been left in the street and have gone missing, they have been left in dustbins the day before the bins are collected and the final straw was an item being left in a cowshed.

To be fair, 98% of deliveries were fine, but the time taken dealing with the 2% of customers stating that although the delivery tracking said the item had been delivered, they had not received their item, was beginning to be a major part of my day.

So we have decided to return to The Royal Mail and will now be using Tracked 48 for the majority of deliveries. The tracking system is better and if you are out, rather than throw an item in a dustbin, items should be taken back to a delivery office and you can rearrange or collect items at a convenient time.

The downside to this is that Tracked 48 is slightly more expensive than Yodel ad as a result we have had to raise our postage prices. Delivery prices are four times higher than when we started this business 15 years ago. I am sure you understand that these rising costs are not down to us.
